New for lifeboat week 2016 - a photo competition

COMPETITION TIME - But not like all those other competitions, this one is all about Swanage Lifeboat and the Lifeboat week that is just about to start. We've teamed up with Andy Farrer, Julian Sawyer (Purbeck Footprints) and Andy Lyons to run a competition all about the area we live in.
The link to the page is here with all the relevant information

The basics to it are as follows : Split into 3 categories, Landscapes, Wildlife and Lifeboats/RNLI - Pictures need to have been taken in the last year and in the local area. Adult and junior category, £5 and £2.50 entry respectively with proceeds all going to the Swanage Lifeboat Week appeal. Prizes including 1-2-1 sunrise or sunset shoot with Andy Farrer (Landscape Photographer of the year), guided wildlife walks, talks and low downs with Julian, Castle Camera vouchers, winning images printed,VIP tours of the RNLI college training facilities for the juniors and much, much more!

Please, please share this as much as you can, we've set this as a short notice competition as all our crews have little or no notice of having to drop everything to head out to sea to save others.  (website designer)

Could you sponsor a barrel of beer for our lifeboat week bar?

With the start of Lifeboat Week 2016 approaching fast we're still looking for a few more generous local businesses to sponsor a barrel of beer for our bar. By sponsoring a barrel it means that even more of the money we raise can go towards running the lifeboats here at Swanage. In return we'll give you an A3 poster behind our bar and a receipt to keep your accountant happy!
If you'd like to contribute then please phone the lifeboat station on 01929 423237.

Thank you!
