Grand summer draw 2013 results

Thanks to everyone who bought tickets for this year's summer draw. The draw was carried out at 4pm on Sun 18 August at Prince Albert Gardens. The winners are:

1st prize - An original painting donated by Antonia Phillips (above) = C. Townley
2nd prize - A two course meal for two donated by the Quayside Restaurant = M. Hammock
3rd prize - A handmade cushion, donated by Judy Goodlet = R. Clark

Mrs Hammock who won second prize very kindly offered to donate it back to the RNLI and asked that it was given to one of the volunteers who worked so hard during lifeboat week.

Lighthouse loop 5k run results

Thanks to all who entered our 5k run to Anvil Point lighthouse and back on Sun 18 August 2013.

Raft race results

Thanks to everyone who entered rafts this year. It was a great turn out despite the rubbish weather.

The results were as follows:

Best dressed window

Each year during lifeboat week we ask the shops and businesses in Swanage to 'fly a flag' for the lifeboats. We also run a competition to see who has the best dressed window. Thanks to all who took part here are the results.

1st place = Kaffee und Kuchen

2nd place = WPM Residential Lettings

3rd place = Tilly Whims

The winners were invited along to the VIP evening at the boathouse on Weds night and presented with their trophies by Gloria Marsh MBE, President of the Swanage Lifeboat Fundraisers and Caroline Finch, President of Swanage Chamber of Trade.
Thanks to everyone who flew a flag this year, we really appreciate your support.

Grand Summer Draw

Our Fundraisers have been selling raffle tickets this summer and the draw is this weekend coming. There is still plenty of time to buy tickets though as they're on sale in the Lifeboat Shop and they'll have them on sale at Prince Albert Gardens (near the entrance to the pier) all weekend.

1st Prize is this fabulous orginal painting by local artist Antonia Phillips that has been framed by the Mulberry Tree Gallery

2nd Prize is a two course meal for two donated by the Quayside Restaurant, Swanage

3rd Prize is a handmade cushion, donated by Judy Goodlet (BBC Radio Solent travel presenter)

Lifeboat Week 2013 is approaching fast!

Lifeboat Week 2013 is nearly here but there's still time to enter The Great Swanage Bake Off, buy tickets for The Comedy of Errors, enter the build-a-boat competition or build a raft for our raft race.
